PhilBrass, short for The Philharmonic Brass, is a brass quintet formed by like-minded musicians from The Philharmonic Winds. Inspired by the meaning of “Philharmonic” — a fondness or devotion to music — the ensemble was brought together by a shared passion for brass performance and chamber music.
Equally committed to promoting brass chamber music, PhilBrass strives to present the finest brass playing to audiences in Singapore. Through its performances, the quintet celebrates not only its love for music, but also a decade of musical friendship among its members.
With a repertoire that spans classical, pop, and jazz, PhilBrass aims to share the versatility, warmth, and energy of brass music with audiences of all ages. To date, the ensemble has presented a number of well-received recitals and gigs, delighting listeners with engaging programmes and spirited performances.
