In this first-of-its-kind initiative, talented young musicians performed alongside Philharmonic Wind Orchestra in a powerful concert celebrating the future of Singapore’s wind band community.
Conducted by Dr Leonard Tan, the programme opened with Benjamin Yeo’s Future of Tomorrow, offering audiences musical insights into a work that speaks to growth, aspiration, and possibility. The concert continued with the moving lyricism of With Heart and Voice, before culminating in Johan de Meij’s monumental Extreme Beethoven.
Through mentorship, collaboration, and shared music-making, Side by Side with PWO brought together seasoned performers and emerging musicians in a celebration of learning, artistry, and the next generation of wind band excellence.
